Two students from the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Gajayana University (UNIGA) Malang, Ifa Dwi Lutfiana and Atika Zahrah were successfully selected to take part in the Summer School Program at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia. This activity will take place from 7 to 20 September 2025.
This program is a concrete manifestation of the implementation of international cooperation between Uniga Malang and UiTM which has been established since last year. Through this activity, students have the opportunity to broaden their academic horizons, deepen cross-cultural understanding, and hone soft skills that are relevant in the global era.
Chancellor of Uniga Malang, Prof. Dr. Ernani Hadiyati, S.E., M.S. expressed his pride and appreciation for student participation in this program. According to him, student involvement in this international academic forum shows Uniga Malang's commitment to preparing graduates who are globally competitive.
"We are very proud of the students' achievements who were able to bring the campus to a good name at the international level. I hope that this experience can be a motivation for other students." he said.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Uniga Malang, Prof. Dr. Martaleni also added that the experience of participating in an international program is a valuable provision for students as well as opening the door to sustainable academic collaboration.
"We hope that this experience will be a provision for students as well as pave the way for collaboration in other academic fields," he said.
The Head of the International Affairs Office (KUI) Uniga Malang, Drs. Novi Prihananto, M.Pd., Ph.D., emphasized that the Summer School program at UiTM has strategic value for strengthening the campus' reputation.
"Student involvement in international academic forums can have a positive impact on the campus and also students' self-development in terms of international higher education networks," he explained.
With this program, Uniga Malang confirms its commitment to supporting the internationalization of education while preparing the young generation who are ready to compete on the global stage.
